Serac launches the first portal dedicated to edible oil packaging.
Serac, a leading provider of packaging solutions, is releasing the first website dedicated to edible oil packaging. 18 videos and more than 30 pictures illustrate nearly 40 pages of technical information on virgin and refined oils packaging in PET, HDPE, glass or metal containers. With over 100 machines used to fill edible oil in 24 countries, Serac covers through this site a wide range of solutions specifically tailored to the product: from semi-automatic fillers for low output requirements, through high speed rotary weight fillers/cappers at 36,000 bottles per hour, up to the full provisioning of turnkey lines. Numerous technical solutions are addressed, such as managing temperature variations which impacts the volume of oil, or ways to solidify ultra-light PET bottles or even integrated washing solutions to remove all glass particles... www.oil-filling-machines.com is the first of a series of portals dedicated to the markets in which Serac has a strong expertise. Serac will launch in a few weeks a portal dedicated to the packaging of dairy products in bottles. http://www.oil-filling-machines.com

Serac celebrates its 40th anniversary !
1969-2009: four decades rich in innovations during which Serac has become the world specialist in filling and capping machines for liquids. As the first wholly French-owned packaging machine manufacturer, Serac ranks first in the world for aseptic filling of UHT milk in bottles and whipped cream in aerosol. The group is also No 1 in Brazil. A success founded on innovation and core values Since the creation of Serac, Jean-Jacques Graffin its founder put the innovation in the heart of his development strategy, which, today, results in a remarkable achievement for this French company. Serac holds to date more than 80 patents, several Oscar de l’Emballage awards and many packaging innovation prizes. The success of Serac also rests on strong values like an uncompromising commitment to establishing earnest relationship with its customers. All these many assets enable the company to count on its strategic markets, multinational companies and the local leaders of each segment (milk, vegetable oils, cleaning products, cosmetics) such as Lactalis, Yoplait, Candia, Nestlé, Danone, Cargill, Colgate, Henkel, L’Oréal, LVMH, Pfizer, GSK, etc… Think globally, act locally Thanks to its 5 production sites established in four countries (France, the USA, Brazil, Malaysia) and its sales offices in Japan, in the United Kingdom, in Spain and China, Serac has at its disposal solid infrastructures and network which enable the group to operate on a worldwide scale. With the acquisition in 2004 of the Nova company, specialist in pot-filling machine for cheeses, yoghourts and dairy desserts, Serac strengthened its presence on the dairy market. If the dairy products remain its core activity, Serac implemented a successful diversification towards the industrial products, perfumes, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors. From now on, its activity widens towards the supply of complete lines and associated services. In 2008, the Serac group, which employs 450 people in the world, carried out a turnover of 80 million euros with approximately 60% for the Europe zone, Russia and the Middle East, 25% in North and South America and 15% in Asia.
