Marc Binet has been appointed CEO of Serac SAS in France, a company specializing in the manufacture of  filling and capping machines for the food, industrial, cosmetic and pharmaceutical markets. He replaces Guy Dumargue who was combining this position with that of President of Serac Group. Serac will present world exclusive on its booth at Interpack trade the Bottle Thermoforming machine ‘Roll N Blow’ of the French start-up Agami, company of which Serac is a shareholder. This machine allows producing bottles at a cost and a material weight much lower than the conventional methods. It is based on an innovative technology of tubular thermoforming from a plastic sheet in reel. This technology authorizes high and round shapes for a volume from 100 to 500 ml. It addresses fresh dairy products industry and more particularly drinking yoghurts, and also fruit juices.

Upstream supply of caps and bottles as well as downstream packing on the micro-line are carried out by the same operator. Electronic weigh filling and capping are fully automatic.

The electrical switching enclosure includes a control panel for electronic management of production. The filling/capping machines requires less than 2m2 floor space in the production workshop. Depending on product characteristics, this micro-line may be used to process containers ranging from 0,5l to 10 liters with output up to 600 one liter container containers per hour.

The UNIVERSAL container transfer claw enables perfect centring of the neck between the three fingers of the clamp thus allowing transfer of containers with neck diameter ranging from 25 to 45mm and 35 to 60 mm without the need for a change of tooling. Elimination of the tooling change time considerably improves productivity.  Industrial buyers also notice a considerable reduction in their tool purchasing costs. It should be further noted that a version of the clamp is available for aseptic filling of milk and beverages.
