SBE Elite: A Blow Molding Machine That Meets Producers’ Need for Flexibility

In an environment where manufacturers must produce more formats, faster, and with consistent quality, traditional preform and bottle transfer systems are reaching their limits. To meet these new challenges, Serac introduces a new linear PET blow molding machine: the SBE Elite.

In an environment where manufacturers must produce more formats, faster, and with consistent quality, traditional preform and bottle transfer systems are reaching their limits. To meet these new challenges, we are introducing a new linear PET blow molding machine that incorporates a magnetic transfer system. This technology is based on a simple yet revolutionary principle: replacing fixed-step mechanical systems with intelligent transport using independent shuttles.

Each shuttle carries a preform and can be controlled individually with high precision. Position, speed, and acceleration are monitored in real time throughout the process.

This approach offers several major benefits for producers:

Key Benefits

Thanks to the system of independently controlled shuttles, the machine is free from the constraints of traditional mechanical architectures. Each preform can follow a customized path and cycle time, making it easy to handle a wide variety of formats without major modifications.

Format changes are thus simplified and accelerated, reducing downtime and increasing responsiveness to market demands. Producers can switch from one format to another with greater agility, while maintaining a high level of performance.

The linear architecture combined with magnetic transfer allows for the design of a more compact machine without compromising performance. The elimination of certain traditional mechanisms reduces the space required while simplifying the overall design.

This space savings facilitates integration into existing lines, particularly in workshops where space is limited. It also allows for optimized production organization by freeing up space for other equipment or improving workflow within the factory.

Real-time control of each shuttle enables precise and adaptive synchronization between the various stages of the blowing process. Unlike fixed-cycle systems, the machine continuously adapts to production conditions.

This ensures greater process stability, consistent bottle quality, and a reduction in losses or defects. This intelligent synchronization also optimizes the line’s overall performance, even in the event of variations or constraints upstream or downstream.

Beyond immediate performance gains, this architecture paves the way for smarter, software-driven machines that can adapt more easily to manufacturers’ needs.

Designed for the production of PET bottles for both food and non-food markets, this new generation of blow molding machines supports producers of beverages, dairy products, cooking oils, and hygiene and cleaning products as they upgrade their production lines.

Interpack 2026

At our booth at Interpack, visitors will be able to explore a demonstration module of the magnetic transfer system, accompanied by an immersive 3D animation illustrating how it operates at the heart of the blow molding machine.

This is a unique opportunity to explore the new possibilities offered by this technology for Serac’s new PET blow molding machines.
